Site Basics

Quick Note
I am not an owner or employee of any kind at Marvel, Disney or any related subsidiary.

Additionally, I own none of the products, characters or services being showcased on this site or any affiliates. At the end of the day, I am just a fan.

(There’s more legal stuff down at the bottom…just in case)

About the Blogs
Marvel Unlimited is a subscription service that focuses on Marvel Comics. At the time of writing, it has over 30,000 issues ranging over 80 years of publication. It’s a lot to unpack and comics aren’t exactly the easiest medium to get into.

For those who have read comics long enough, you know that following a series or creator is rarely as simple as reading issue #1 and stopping at issue #12 or starting at issue #250 and ending at issue #300. Comics can be messy; between one-shots, mini-series, crossovers, etc. And that’s not even the half of it - it can really be daunting for anyone just trying to start out and read a good story.

So that’s where I come in. The goal of Marvel Then! is to break down all of the varying characters, teams and series and attempt to curate them into something easier to digest. A number of factors could come into play to as to how I do those breakdowns including character, creators, storylines and number of issues.

Otherwise, it’s more or less straightforward, and hopefully it’s all as easily accessible as possible. I’ll take the links to the issues, organize them and you’re on your way from there. Which bring me to the next section…

How Does This Actually Work?
(And Other Legal Notes)

For starters: a paying membership to Marvel Unlimited is required. Currently, there’s a monthly plan priced at $9.99 and two yearly plans priced at $69 and $99.

(The $99 dollar plan includes physical items, so if that’s not your thing, stick with the $9.99 or $69 plans)

(Also, all of the money for the paying membership goes to Marvel et al. I am not making any money off of this.)

When your membership begins, you can stop over here via your laptop, smartphone or tablet, head to the archives, pick a collection and read from there. Each post features the issues directly linked so all you have to do is click the links issue by issue. No guesswork, no hassle. Just read and enjoy.

Also, again, I will stress: subscribing is required to access the library of comics. The direct linking doesn’t bypass anything and I have no interest in suggesting anything otherwise.
